Contemporary Homes
More and more customers are looking for a contemporary edge for their home. Here at MAS Design Consultants we love to push the envelope and reimagine how people live by using tight angles mixed with curved surfaces, floor-to-ceiling picture windows, and innovative design. Contemporary living adheres to a few principles that define its simple aesthetic: open-floor plans, clean lines, minimal clutter, and a neutral colour palette. Here are a few of the more contemporary projects we have been involved in recently.
Lands Lane,
Knaresborough
This project involved the modernisation and rejuvenation of a tired bungalow to create a contemporary, impressive, open-plan property. The striking frontage adds to the contemporary feel of the property.
West Hill,
Harrogate
This late 1930’s Art Deco property lies within the Duchy Conservation Area on a large but steep sloping site. The redesign maintains the aesthetic continuity, architectural vernacular and characteristics of the property.
Grasmere,
collingham
This brand new contemporary home replaces a dated bungalow in a very traditional area of Collingham. The modernist style has been designed thoughtfully to blend well with the surroundings.
Grove RoaD,
Ilkley
A single storey extension with internal redesign added a fantastic modern feel to this Ilkley property. Clean lines, neutral colours and floor to ceiling glass enhanced the contemporary look.
Low Hall road,
Menston
Originally a bungalow, our client converted this property into a three storey property with four double bedrooms, open-plan living, games room and study.
Hawksworth Lane,
Guiseley
This former bungalow was transformed through addition of a modern extension to the rear of the property. The timber cladded ‘box’ style addition really gives this home a wow-factor.
MOOR EDGE,
BURLEY WOODHEAD
A fantastic contrast between old and new was achieved by adding an extension onto this stone-built property in an area of outstanding beauty.
